20240614 Rest of the day

I said I would sleep early today, but I since I need to get into the habit of writing I’d have to make sure to write everyday, at least in the new few months. For years I wrote everyday, sometimes twice, sometimes thrice a day, but now writing everyday for a few months to make sure the habit sticks seems so daunting! Goodness, getting old is such a drag.

I met Yasmeen today and she is well. Sub-urban living, she said, is like living in a village. They find new animals everyday on their property, new plants or weeds or flowers that pop out of nowhere, takes a while to get to the city…and so on. She seems very happy to be a homeowner, but sad that she can’t meet up with friends as easily as or as late as she wants to before.

Honestly though, I don’t mind not staying out too late. I think it just happens almost automatically when you get to a certain age and just know that you can’t stay out with your friends past a certain time. For me, that was two or three years ago, need to be home by ~8pm.

Well, now it’s time to sleep…
